Vegas, here I come!

You’ll regret it all night…

Watch out, they sneak up on you.

Bold Choice. The First of Many

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and the JimBeamMeUp campaign. It’s been amazing. Who would have thought that, a little over a month ago, when I asked, “Jim Beam sponsors a race car, why not a Trekkie?” that I’d be able to say now, “Jim Beam is sending me to Vegas for the Star Trek convention.”

Their Parallels ad (which I saw on YouTube) is amazing and really inspired me to go all out and push as hard as I could for this… because, years from now, I didn’t want to wonder what could have been. I’m not saying that Jim Beam sending me to Vegas is a life-changing event, but what if it is? This one decision could set in motion a series of events that lead to something amazing. Confidence, friends, opportunities. Things I couldn’t even imagine.

Like the Jim Beam ad says, “All choices lead you somewhere, bold choices take you where you’re supposed to be.”

Bold Choice

Here’s to Jim Beam Making a Bold Choice!

The idea that Jim Beam would consider sending a Trekkie to a Star Trek convention, at first seems funny, then crazy, then it starts to make some sense. Like Captain Kirk, amazing things can happen when you throw caution to the wind and storm-in at warp speed. So here’s to Jim Beam, for having the courage to Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before and explore this Undiscovered Country.

Jim Beam Me Up. Neat.

I haven’t heard anything from Jim Beam, but that’s not stopping me! The simple and elegant Jim Beam Me Up. Neat.

This is the most fun I’ve had in years!

Creating images for my Jim Beam Me Up (to the con) campaign is more fun than I anticipated. I’ve been more creative than I have in years.

Getting Beamed to the Convention

It’s a little surprising how much support I’ve received from my Twitter community for my Jim Beam Me Up campaign. I’m trying to get Jim Beam to send me to the convention and at the same time, entertain my tweeps.

03 Mudd’s Women

The Venusian

One sip and everything’s beautiful

1 1/4 parts Jim Beam Bourbon

3/4 parts DeKuyper Pucker Sour Apple Schnapps

1 part Cranberry juice

1 part Sweet & Sour Mix

Mix ingredients in shaker with ice, shake, and pour into glass. Garnish with replicated (shown) or natural lime wheel.

What would YOU do?

Asking Jim Beam to send me to Vegas is much more than just needing the money. I want to do something different, exciting, and bold.

Mr. Scott, energize.

Over the weekend, my mom asked my daughter the question, “What would you do, if you KNEW you couldn’t fail?” That question really bothered me because I know exactly what I would do. I wouldn’t change anything I’ve already done; the decisions I’ve made (and haven’t made) have brought me to this place and made me the man I am today. But, it’s time to start making bold choices and show the world what I’m really capable of.
